 Enchanting Rapper Cause of Death

Two months after her passing, the reason for the death of former 1017 rapper Enchanting has been disclosed.

On Friday, August 23, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office announced that the cause of death for the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name was Channing Nicole Larry, was an accidental overdose of oxycodone and benzodiazepines.

Oxycodone is an artificial opioid, whereas benzodiazepines are a category of sedative medications frequently prescribed for anxiety, insomnia, and seizures.

Shortly after Enchanting's passing, there were widespread rumors of her suffering from an overdose, despite her family's plea for the public to refrain from speculation.

A statement was posted on social media to confirm the passing of Channing Nicole Larry, also known as Enchanting. It expressed profound sorrow in announcing the loss of their dear and cherished daughter.

“She I'm sorry, but it seems like the text you provided is incomplete. Could you please provide the full text so that I can rephrase it for you?as so much to so many but she was our daughter. She lived her life with grace and blessed so many with friendship, laughter and love.”

Her family also expressed gratitude for everyone respecting their family's privacy as they deal with this challenging loss. The exact cause of death is still unknown.

Enchanting died on June 11 after it was reported that she was in the intensive care unit.

The Shade Room reported, based on information from the rapper's team, that her death was attributed to "a suspected overdose" following a statement from a member of her management team claiming that Enchanting was experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

The representative mentioned that she visited my house for the past four days to detox. She put in a lot of effort, and I provided all the support I could to assist her in the process.

After learning the news, Gucci Mane, the leader of 1017, expressed his sorrow on social media, posting: “It's heartbreaking to have to bid farewell to such an amazing young woman, a real talent that we will all miss. Rest in peace Chant @luvenchanting.”

Enchanting released two projects on the Atlanta-based label in 2022: her debut album No Luv and the deluxe version of it titled Luv Scarred/No Luv. Her standout track was “No Luv,” a collaboration featuring Gucci, Key Glock, and fellow 1017 artist Big Scarr (who tragically passed away due to an accidental overdose in 2022).
